GRAND RAID DES PYRENEES - KIT LIST

If you've already run the UTMB, or couldn't get in, this 
is a great alternative.  Held on the same weekend 
(27-29 Aug '10), the Grand Raid des Pyrenees offers 160km of fantastic views whilst climbing (and descending, of course!) over 10,000m.  

Slightly shorter than the UTMB (by 6K), it has 600m 
more climb and, according to various blogs by previous participants, is more technical underfoot.  

Both races have shorter, but by no means easier, 
races of 98K/5,600m for the UTMB and 80K/5000m 
for the GRP.
