ENTRIES NOW FULL!

Wow, what a response for our first year of running The Trigger.

We've now reached our limit on entries and we're looking forward to seeing you all for a good run on the 15th!

TRIGGER 20 mile fell race 15/1/2012

Starting in the West Yorkshire town of Marsden, the point-to-point route takes in the three OS Triangulation Points (or Trigs) at Black Hill, Higher Shelf and Kinder West, before descending from the high moorland to finish in the village of Edale.

The straight-line distance is 20 miles, with well over 1,000 metres of climbing, but competitors will be free to choose their own route (subject to Out of Bounds areas).

Given the likelihood of extreme winter weather, all competitors will have to show experience of navigation in long-distance fell races, and a strict mandatory kit-list will be enforced.

Entries cost £10 per runner (including hot food at the finish), with ALL profits going to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team.

Competitors can check the trig and checkpoint co-ordinates, and entry list at www.trigger.org.uk. See the FRA forum for other info and discussion.
