These fast-wicking, durable socks have a 40% felted merino wool cushioned sole and heel, which gives maximum comfort for minimum bulk, and an open knit over the top of the foot to ensure good breathability.  Whatever the science (it's a sock, after all!) they're great value and really perform on the trail.
