At just 235g (8.3oz), Patagonia's Ultralight Down Jacket is an incredibly versatile piece of kit for its weight.  With 800-fill premium European goose down, it provides an impressive amount of warmth, and has a slim-fit cut for added thermal efficiency.  With a water-repellent DWR finish, the Ultralight can be worn under a shell as an insulating layer, or as a stand-alone outer layer.  It also has two zipped hand-warmer pockets, a drawcord hem and a chest pocket which doubles as the jacket's stuff sac.
